The Monte Baldo group is a more than 2000 metre high and 37 km long mountain chain which is situated between the Adige river and the east bank of Lake Garda. It is characterised by its rich vegetation - including several botanical rarities. The reason for this phenomenon is that the mountain raised above the ice during the entire ice age.

Having had to queue for up to 2 hours in previous trips to Mount Baldo we took the advice of our hotel and booked tickets online. Our slot was for 10.30 to 11.00 and we did as advised and arrived 15 minutes before our slot. All in all it was a good experience and well organised. We queued outside for 15 minutes and entered the building at 10.30.
